Casa Moskito is our latest listing. It is located in Playacar Fase 1, a 7 minutes walk from the center of Playa del Carmen. It is right on the beach with an infinity pool offering spectacular views of the Caribbean waters. The house is new as is all furniture and appliances. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Perfect Property in Playa We are grateful to have had 8 gorgeous nights at Casa Moskito. Communication with Claudia, the property manager, prior to arrival and during our stay was great. We arrived to workmen next door but Claudia and security sorted this out immediately. For the rest of our stay our holiday was not compromised by the renovations. The house itself worked well for our group. It had plenty of room and ample kitchen facilities for the few times we cooked. Teresa came in each day and moved through cleaning very efficiently. We did struggle with the one hair dryer as our own did not work on their circuit. The pool was always clean and surprisingly cool considering how hot it was. The security was good and the beach was patrolled at night. We always felt safe. It was an easy walk to restaurants bars ATMs and shops. An ideal position. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again. We came here for Thanksgiving 2014 with my family (7 adults), which was the perfect size, with the three bedrooms. We had a small dog with us, and the owner was gracious enough to allow him. The property manager was super helpful and friendly. There was maid service daily, but we really didn't want or need it. The house was extremely clean. The design and flow of the house was perfect. There is a great room like common area that looks onto the ocean and rooms along the sides. The best part of this house was the location. Its on a beautiful beach, just 40 feet from gorgeous waves. The infinite pool was delightful and we spent quite a lot of time watching the beach from in the pool, which was slightly warmer and calmer than the ocean. The ocean isn't that rough but we were there during a windy time. You need to know how to swim when that happens. The house is about 5 minutes walk along the beach to downtown Playa del Carmen. It was close enough during the day, but at night we were too tired to walk to the far end of downtown, so we ended up driving. There is reserved parking at the house and we had two cars that could easily fit. I would recommend a car in this area, as taxis are expensive to do outings farther than downtown in. The location is central to drive to many other attractions, so its convenient and worth a car rental. All the amenities, ziplocs, silverware, dishes, even a large bottled water dispenser were provided. The appliances were like-new and worked great. There were lots of towels for beach use and a washer/dryer which was very convenient. The property manager helped us book moonlight massages for 5 people on the patio, which was a delight. The only slight problem we had was it rained hard and the skylight had a leak in the master shower. I think they knew about this problem and had the roof covered with tarp, but the rain and wind was blowing hard so water came in. There wasn't much, and they apologized for it and had the maid clean it immediately. If it hadn't rained hard, we would not have known. We will definitely return to this house again. Again, the location and house are so well-done and convenient, I highly recommend staying here. And the cost was extremely reasonable. I think we got a steal! The view is incredible. The property manager is the best and she will take great care of you during your entire stay. We never had an issue reaching her. Downtown is an easy walk, day or night. Restaurants are plenty and would also recommend you take advantage of the personal chef option at the house. You will not be disappointed with this property. We plan to stay here again! The location of the property was perfect - right on the beach, short walk to town, but not too close. Also appreciated the gated entry to the community, which provides an extra buffer of safety. The house is setup very well and can comfortably accommodate 8 people. Modern look and feel was great. The pool and outdoor patio area are perfect. Beach was also very nice and great for jumping in the water or taking long walks. The property manager was also a huge value-add for us. She setup our rides to/from the airport and dinners at the house - the chefs that come to the house are amazing, I would actually skip all the restaurants in town and just have the chef's cook meals if I were to visit again. This was the first time visiting and staying in Playa del Carmen. After looking around for about a month, I found this house just a few days before out trip. It was four of us, my mom and my 2 sisters. When we arrived we just loved the place! It was the perfect location, and just feet away from beach. I loved the open feel of the house. We were looking to spend a quiet time at the beach and this place was perfect for us. We were able to cook, and relax by the pool. The house is pretty new, so it was in great shape. We rented a car so it was easy for us to get around. You can walk to most places from the beach. We stayed for 6 nights and it just wasn't enough. We will stay here again for sure!
